IronWill Football Atom, Pee Wee and Bantam Camp: Post Camp Review

news-imageThe IronWill Football Atom, Pee Wee and Bantam Camp really show cased the young talent here in Central Alberta.

All of the athletes were very receptive to the constructive criticism that the coaches gave them. This will make them become a better player.

The term ‘No Fear’ enters my mind as each athlete was challenged with drills that they have never done before. They took the challenge and excelled! Each camper gave maximum effort and executed each drill to the best of their ability.

This camp was special because there were leaders in the group that kept a positive spirit and kept encouraging the group when the drills and boot camp became rigorous . A great team not only has great athletes but they have great leaders who can teach by example. The coaches really saw the leadership qualities come out at this camp.

We had a presentation about Anti- Bullying at school and on teams. This aspect of the camp was different as some athletes facial express said “what does anti- bullying have to do with football”? As the presentation unfolded campers realized that Bullying not only happens at school but on the sports teams. Everyone deserves respect both on and off the field! I know this presentation really hit home as campers and parents thanked the IronWill Football staff for touching on this subject.

All coaches did an amazing job through the whole camp; keep up the great work.

I can’t wait to see the athletes from this camp on the field. I hope they will be using the tools and techniques they have learned at this past camp on their respective teams. If all the athletes are this good now, think of the growth and potential they will have when they play Senior High School football.

Once again great job by all athletes and staff.

See everyone in May 8th-9th for the skills camp.
