This was one of our favourite camps of the year. It was great working with the younger football athletes. This year the camp was designed to pay attention to more positional skill development and field awareness. Understanding positional roles and responsibilities are critical at this stage of the athletes development. I was very pleased to see how all the athletes responded and participated during the teaching sessions.
During the Boot Camp session, we really saw the character of all athletes as they were challenged through out a vigorous training session. I was very happy to to see previous campers step up as leaders; they did a great job of staying positive and encouraging the group. Shout out to Coach Woodley one a job well done with boot camp, we strive to challenge all athletes!
All the coaches did a great job during the camp especially during the individual teaching session on the positional fundamentals skills. We had two guest coaches; U of A quarterback Julian Marchand and Calgary Dino offensive linemen Jose Liso.
Overall I am very pleased with the camp. The athletes preformed at a high level all camp. They did everything the coaches asked of them. It’s great to have such coach able kids!
It was a pleasure coaching everyone at the IronWill Bantam and Under Performance camp and we look forward to seeing everyone soon.
Keep working hard.
