Tim Burris, BA
Camp Director
Defensive line/Offensive line specialist.

Tim Burris is tenacious, hard working and has great passion for football. Tim was recruited out of Champlain College in Lennoxville, Que to Saint Mary’s University. Tim was able to be a true freshmen starter on the 2002 championship team. In the four years at Saint Mary’s University he was able to be a part of 2002 Vanier Cup champion team and the 2003 Vanier Cup finalist.

Hard work payed off for him as he was invited to the East west Bowl in 2004. He was team Linemen of the year in 2004 as well as two time Atlantic University Sport All Star 2004-2005. He graduated in 2006 and transferred to the University of Calgary under Head coach Blake Nill for his 5th year of eligibility. Tim was able to bring his defensive line experience and help boost the Calgary Dino’s to the playoffs.

Tim has a great desire to give back to young football players. He would like to pass on the knowlege and tools that he was given to succceed through various football camps. Tim’s biggest goal is to give back to the community.

Background

  • 1996 -1997- Completed Counsellor In Training Level 1-2 at Moorelands Camp Dorset Ontario. Moorelands focuses on inner- city youth, 8-9 years old who come from single parent backgrounds and troubled families.
  • Junior boys camp counsellor at Bolton Camp. Responsible for leadership and guidance in daily living skills as well as the planning of the overall camp activities.
  • 1998 -1999 Toronto Parks and Recreation – Worked as a Playground leader, head coach of two city championship teams in soccer and in baseball as well as coach Winter Drop-in basketball at various high schools.
  • 1999 – North Toronto Day Camps Leader and Team Leader for city and regional summer sports tournaments.
  • 2002-2004 Saint Mary’s University Football camp – Teaching fundamentals, sportsmanship and basic knowledge of the game.
  • 2003 – The Anti-bully program in Halifax, NS. Public speaker for bullying Awareness at speaking events held in the local Elementary and High Schools.
  • 2006- Refereed the Saint Mary’s flag football league.
  • 2007 Child and Youth Worker – Coordinated treatment, interventions as well as assist clients with standard living skills.
  • 2008- Youth Worker – Identify personal strengths and resources for positive change as well as goal setting and resume writing.
  • 2009- Hunting Hills High School Conditioning and Position Coach. Prepared and executed practice and game planning. Instilled football knowledge to players, worked on conditioning training techniques, weight training, Speed and agility ,basic position specific skills as well as practice.

Curtis Woodley, BA
Head of Strength and Conditioning.
Receivers/ Defensive back Specialist

Curtis Woodley played a major role on the Saint Mary’s Championship team in 2002 and as runner up in the 2003 Vanier Cup as wide receiver and as a special teams returner. Curtis successes stems from his great work ethic and his passion to develop as a football player. Curtis was looked at by his teammate’s as a leader and has found himself helping them train during the off season doing various workouts. In 2007 Curtis transferred to the University of Calgary to complete his B.A. in Psychology. Curtis had the privilege of playing out his 5th year with the University Calgary Dino’s under Coach Nill. He played defensive back and stood out on special teams leading the team in special team tackles.

Curtis currently works as personal trainer in Calgary Alberta. He continues to help young athletes and adults through strength and conditioning programs.

Deji Oduwole
Defensive line specialist

Deji is currently a defensive line men with the Calgary Dino’s, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree.
Deji is a great leader on and off the field. In the 2009 season he helped his the team reach the Vanier Cup. In 2008 he lead the team in quarterback sacks and named to the CFL list being identify as top 15 draft-eligible players in the CIS. On the field Deji possess great strength and speed and has the tool to rush the passer as well as defend the run.
In the off season Deji is involved with various football camps in Calgary and surrounding areas. Deji’s has a great deal of knowledge about football and has a passion for the game, Deji is eager to teach younger athletes how to become a better football players. He has great character and he is a valued role model within the community.

Deji’s Accomplishment

2010- Signed as a free agent by the Winnnipeg Blue Bombers.
2009- Canada West conference champion, Uteck Bowl champion and Vanier Cup finalist.
2008- Canada West conference all-star, Canada West conference champion
2005- Saint Mary’s Huskies nominee for Rookie of the Year

Erik Glavic
Quarterback Specialist

Erik As a student athlete Erick is perusing a Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Calgary. On the field he has proven to be one of the best Quarterbacks in Canadian University Football History. Erik is a true elite athlete, winning the Hec Crighton twice in his university career in 2007 and in 2009. Erik has a high football intelligence and a great combination of speed, passing accuracy and athleticism. All the characteristics needed to be an impact player.
With Erik’s relentlessness and his will to be successful, he has lead the Calgary Dino’s to the 2009 Vanier cup in his first year with the team. In the Canada West Championship versus Saskatchewan Huskies, Erik had an outstanding performance; which lead Calgary to winning back to back Hardy Cup Bowls. He rushed for 106 yards with a touchdown and threw for 479 yards and 3 passing touchdowns.
Before transferring to Calgary Erik began his CIS career at Saint Mary’s University. In 2007 Erik lead his team to the conference champions and a birth to the Vanier Cup. Regardless of Erik’s busy training schedule, he always has time to help young football players. Erik is a great role model and he continues to give back to the community in any way that he can.
